We want to thank Dave Batchelder, Sales Training Manager at Alcatel Lucent, for recently participating in a Webinar with OutStart to discuss how Alcatel Lucent University is using Hot Lava Mobile at sales training events. His presentation did an excellent job revealing how an organization can implement mobile applications into its infrastructure to achieve quick, actionable results. He used specific instances of ALU’s use of surveys to demonstrate the impact mobile applications can have on an organization from both an infrastructure and application point of view. I’m an email underachiever and proud of it!    

When is the last time you heard a sales person brag about being an underachiever?  Get ready.  I am bragging about being an email underachiever!

I learned this during the Enterprise 2.0 presentation “Is Email Dead.”  Clair Shih stated that the average knowledge worker spends 26 hours per week doing email; a sales person over 30 hours.  The time doesn’t account for what a Paul Hemp in a Harvard Business article highlights as the “interruption of people’s work, which can adversely affect not only personal well-being but also decision making, innovation, and productivity.  Read more »
